"Down and out non-binary Theo Kennedy, a young actor in NYC, struggles to find their footing in life as abuse from their ex, Mark, looms large in their memory when Lentrayan, a man from The Underside who possesses power and knowledge of who Mark really is, charges Theo with a mission and a new life entirely. Lentrayan tells Theo that they must help him and his people to save his world, Theo’s world, and thousands of others by helping them put a stop to Mark and his power-hungry plans. As Theo falls deeper and deeper into this other world, they lie more and more to their closest friends, and they reckon with the long-lasting wounds of their abuse and their perceived lack of agency over their own life. As Theo resists the call to be a hero, everything spirals out of control and into deadly chaos. Theo fights for their life and as they begin to understand their own power, they ultimately decide to take control their life in their own hands. As Theo’s world devolves into chaos and horror, they face down their demons to save the ones they love most, and save themselves from Mark’s unrelenting grip on their mind, their life, and their destiny."
