New play starring Drew Aber at AMT Theater

Dana Aber's latest 1-person play, Save/Reload, written in collaboration with Drew Aber, had an industry workshop reading at AMT Theater Off-Broadway on Thursday August 25. Guests were treated to a broad spread of "gamer snacks" with individual bags of chips and cheetos, and were treated to a fully produced reading complete with projections, lights, and sound.

Starring in the reading as The Player was co-creator, Broadway's Drew Aber, and reading opposite him was Broadway's Joe Cassidy. Cassidy read the role of the Shadow King, which in a full production would be played exclusively through video projection. Grey Jackson read stage directions.

The workshop reading was produced by Big Thunder Productions NYC, with a generous grant from AMT Theater's New Works Development program. Joe Langworth did direction and dramaturgy, Brent Michael Jones handled stage management and lights, Mateo Del Campo was production assistant and archival video, Tony Puglieso created the animations, projections furnished by Big Thunder Productions NYC.
